What does Pre-qualification Registration Only Mean?
"Pre-qualification Registration Only" means that the agency has posted this bid that previously prequalified suppliers are being asked to submit on this project. To comply with Trade Agreements the Agency must post the bid publicly. Only those that have previously prequalified can submit on this project.
In order for a supplier to receive an invitation to a pre-qualification registration only bid for a specific agency, the supplier must have submitted and been awarded to the related Publicly available bid. (prequalification). If this bid was missed the supplier may contact the posting Agency to inquire about frequency of Public bid being available. Some pre-qualification bids run every 2-5 years.
The project will look like this on the public site:
Pre-Qualified and Received Invitation - What do we do?
If an invitation to a Pre-Qualified bid is received the supplier will receive and invitation email.
The email will contain a link to access the agency site. Here the supplier will need to log into their account to access the bid.
An invitation email is specific to the email it was sent to. The email cannot be forwarded and invitation accessed by anyone other than the email address it was sent to.
If the invitation needs to be accessed by another team member at the same organization, following are a few items to consider:
Does the other individual have a bids&tenders account?
- If yes, Why do we have more than one account? (Contact support@bidsandtenders.ca for options of merging)
- If no, Supplier should consider adding a contact to their account (see Adding Contact video)
Supplier needs the invitation to go to another account in bids&tenders - Who do I contact?
- Supplier must contact Agency to have invitation resent to correct email address
- Supplier may contact support for assistance however, must allow enough time prior to bid closing. (Recommended 72 hours) support@bidsandtenders.ca
